Desing Load

Although a structural system is aesthetically eye-pleasing, it must be resistant to various loads. The inward and outward snow and wind loads must be over transferred to the main structure by the fastener elements. Some additional requirements coming over the impact, pressure waves or thermal loadings should also be taken in to consideration.

LAMGLAS design team knows glass very well and have applied many projects for years, so it’s familiar with this type of load conditions and equipped with the solutions, production units and necessary information for the planar façade systems. Mainly it’s possible to choose a different glass thickness, panels and the number of point fixings under different load conditions appropriate to the value and character of loads. Single glazed LAMGLAS Skytec® planar façade systems are manufactured as 10,12,15,19 mm but in accordance with specified requirements, single glass is laminated on three-layered glass units. Such as heat insulation structures or other glasses are manufactured by our company.

For designing places such as gallery spaces, roofs and lightings, it is possible to use LAMGLAS Skytec® planar façade systems in any direction. In any case to prevent accumulation of water on glass, minimum 5 degree slope is recommended.
